About/
(She)nanigans, meaning tricks and secret activities, was founded in Taipei in 2024.
At the heart of the brand lies the enigmatic essence of women, where rationality and elegance intertwine to create a tapestry of mystery and allure.
One might conjure up images of the repressed yet captivating female characters from David Lynch's films such as "Mulholland Drive" and "Twin Peaks". Alternatively, envision the protagonist of "Poor Things" - Bella Baxter. Having weathered the storms of patriarchy, the whims of desire, and the rush of fleeting love, you might wonder how she breathes, how she’s sunk in thoughts, or, how she lingers in our minds? These intricate narratives are seamlessly woven into the fabric of the designer's daily life, evoking endless inspiration.
The clothing collection, categorized into Ready-to-wear and Projects series, merges contemporary minimalism with subtle hints of deconstruction. The signature red buttonhole stitch symbolizes fiery passion and the spark of life, whereas the predominant black palette projects the shadows that dance alongside us in our journey.
The designer perceives clothing as a reflection of identity, a delicate balance between self-expression and introspection. Through the process of creating, she finds a way to overcome shyness, embracing inner strength and the serenity of womanhood.
